Genre: Drama, War
The fight for a free France is far from over. In De Gaulle: Liberté, the second instalment of Antonin Baudry’s two-part historical epic, Charles de Gaulle continues his struggle to unite a country fractured by war and occupation.
From his base in London, de Gaulle faces seemingly impossible odds as he seeks to rally resistance fighters, rebellious students and determined soldiers across England, France and Africa. With little support and no guarantee of success, his vision of a France that refuses to surrender is put to the test.
Simon Abkarian returns as de Gaulle in a story of defiance, sacrifice and the determination to reclaim a nation’s freedom.
