JAZZ BREW SUNDAYS: LEANDRE
Sun 9 February @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

It’s time for another fabulous Sunday of Jazz.
This week we welcome a new duo to the cinema, Leandre.
Comprised of two talented musicians with a wealth of experience, Lea & Andy. Here’s a little bit about them….
Lea started out in musical theatre as a child, sang with jazz bands in the
90’s and sang radio jingles for 15 years.
She became a solo performer in 2013 singing songs from 1930’s to 00’s
including WW2, jazz, Motown, rock and roll, disco, ABBA, and more.
A great performer who motivates her audience with her energy and style.
Andy started singing at WW2 events in 2012 with the 1940’s Roadshow, as
their crooner and entertainments director. He turned professional in 2015,
singing jazz /swing.
As well as performing solo as a singer and guitarist, he also sings with the
Carlton Big Band in Plymouth.
His influences are Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme and Ella Fitzgerald.
Together they perform jazz / swing classics from 1930’s to 1960’s, made
famous by Sinatra, Ella, Doris Day and Nat King Cole to name but a few.
You can see them on Facebook as “Leandre Jazz” and “Leandre Music”.
As always we are open from 10am and the music starts at at 12pm and goes on until 2pm. There will be delicious Crankhouse coffee, specialty teas, homemade cakes and pastries, and a full bar from 12pm. Entry is free, but donations to the musicians always welcome.
