SUMMARY:THE NORTH (15) 2h 12m
DESCRIPTION:Dir: Bart Schrijver \nCast: Bart Harder\, Carles Pulido\, Olly Bassi \nGenre: Drama \nBart Schrijver’s acclaimed drama follows former best friends and roommates Chris (Bart Harder) and Lluis (Carles Pulido)\, who meet up after a decade to hike Scotland’s West Highland Way and Cape Wrath Trail. \nHaving taken the same 350-mile walk in their youth\, the pair hope to rekindle their once-strong friendship by spending 30 days together in the majestic\, raw beauty of the Scottish Highlands. \nBut while Chris remains preoccupied with work and life back at home\, Lluis is determined to finish the trail to prove he can still do it. Amidst the sweeping landscapes\, harsh weather and chance encounters with other hikers\, the solitude and silence of the trek force the pair to confront truths about themselves and their friendship – and find out what it truly means to stand still and listen. \nShot entirely on the route of the walk\, and in chronological order\, The North is a beautiful ode to friendship and the healing power of nature.  It’s not only a poignant and powerful drama\, but also perhaps the definitive hiking film\, allowing us to take in the stunning majesty of the Highlands shoulder-to-shoulder with Lluis and Chris as they reconnect with each other and with nature. \nBar opens from 7pm serving our fabulous cocktails\, fine wines and craft beers\, as well as savoury and sweet snacks. \nFilm starts promptly at 8pm with last orders 10 minutes before the film \nWATCH THE TRAILER HERE

SUMMARY:FATHER MOTHER SISTER BROTHER (15) 1h 51m
DESCRIPTION:Dir: Jim Jarmusch \nCast: Tom Waits\, Adam Driver\, Cate Blanchett\, Vicky Krieps \nGenre: Drama \nWinner of the Golden Lion Best Film prize at the 2025 Venice Film Festival\, FATHER MOTHER SISTER BROTHER is the eagerly-awaited new film from iconic filmmaker Jim Jarmusch. By turns funny\, tender and astutely observed\, this is an intimate exploration of the universal intricacies of family dynamics. \nTold in the form of a triptych\, the film is divided into three chapters\, each concerning the relationship between adult children\, their somewhat distant parent (or parents)\, and each other. \nSet in rural Northeast America\, FATHER sees two adult siblings (Adam Driver\, Mayim Bialik) spend an awkward afternoon with their reclusive father (Tom Waits)\, who they are visiting for the first time in years. \nIn MOTHER\, a reunion between a successful novelist (Charlotte Rampling) and her two daughters (Cate Blanchett\, Vicky Krieps) for their carefully prepared annual tea party in Dublin becomes increasingly revealing and amusing. SISTER BROTHER sees twin siblings (Indya Moore\, Luka Sabbat) meet in Paris to seek closure after the recent loss of their parents\, making surprising discoveries in the process. \nBy turns funny\, poignant and resonant\, Jarmusch’s latest elegantly blends remarkable performances from its ensemble cast with his typically wry and idiosyncratic observations of everyday life\, serving as a timely reminder that you can choose your friends and your lovers\, but you can’t choose your family. \nBar opens from 7pm serving our fabulous cocktails\, fine wines and craft beers\, as well as savoury and sweet snacks. \nFilm starts promptly at 8pm with last orders 10 minutes before the film \nWATCH THE TRAILER HERE

SUMMARY:OUR LAND (12A) 1h 31m + DISCUSSION WITH JESS DUFFY & LEWIS WINKS OF RIGHT TO ROAM
DESCRIPTION:Dir: Orban Wallace \nGenre: Documentary \n\n\n\nThrough organised ‘mass trespass’ events\, the Right to Roam movement sets out to increase public access to nature\, but finds itself in conflict with England’s landowners. \nOur Land seamlessly juxtaposes the two sides of the debate around our access to nature\, giving voice to the different perspectives: those fighting for greater access to the countryside and the landowners who are seen as the stewards of the land. Blending history with an eye on the future\, Our Land charts the conflict\, exploring the complex issues of access\, custodianship and conservation. Articulately presenting arguments from both sides\, the film challenges age-old beliefs around property that have shaped our relationship with the land for over a thousand years. And as the battle for nature continues the film asks the vital question\, who truly has the right to roam? \nWe are delighted to welcome Jess Duffy & Lewis Winks from Right to Roam for a discussion following the film. \nBar opens from 7pm serving our fabulous cocktails\, fine wines and craft beers\, as well as savoury and sweet snacks. \nFilm starts promptly at 8pm with last orders 10 minutes before the film \nWATCH THE TRAILER HERE
