In a small medieval farming town, where everyone knows their place and men run things, a fisherwoman is desperate to keep herself to herself. She’s cranky, lonely, and happy to keep it that way. But after a sarcastic comment to the local weaver, she ends up with a husband made of wicker, who is very much alive. Her new romance doesn’t go down well with the locals, and the town is soon in uproar. Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård star in this bawdy, big-hearted satire of the romantasy genre, a feminist story of love and scandal.
