In this bittersweet fable, one chicken’s instinctive fight for home takes us on a bold journey through the darker recesses of humanity. György Pálfi’s audacious allegorical drama follows a Leghorn hen who escapes an industrial farm and seeks refuge in the courtyard of a struggling, family-run restaurant. As she navigates turkey hierarchies, cunning foxes and the theft of her eggs, a grim human story of exploitation and smuggling unfolds around her. By filtering human cruelty and compromise through an animal’s quest for home, Hen becomes a darkly comic, unexpectedly moving reflection on survival and responsibility.

Bar opens from 7pm serving our fabulous cocktails, fine wines and craft beers, as well as savoury and sweet snacks.

Film starts promptly at 8pm with last orders 10 minutes before the film
